SSC MTS 2026 Notification 

The Staff Selection Commission will conduct the SSC MTS 2026 Examination to recruit eligible candidates for various Group ‘C’ non-gazetted and non-ministerial positions in central government offices and departments. Along with Multi-Tasking Staff posts, recruitment will also be carried out for Havildar vacancies under CBIC and CBN. 

This examination is considered one of the best government job opportunities for candidates who have completed Class 10. Since no graduation degree is required, lakhs of aspirants apply every year for secure central government employment.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must satisfy all eligibility conditions prescribed by SSC before submitting the application form.  

Nationality Criteria 

Applicants must fulfill any one of the following conditions: 

  • Citizen of India 
  • Subject of Nepal or Bhutan 
  • Tibetan refugee settled in India before 1 January 1962 
  • Person of Indian origin migrated from selected countries for permanent settlement in India. 

Educational Qualification 

  • Candidates must have passed Matriculation/Class 10 from a recognized board or institution. 
  • Candidates appearing in Class 10 final examination are not eligible unless they pass before the closing date of application.

Ex-Servicemen Eligibility 

  • Ex-servicemen are eligible to apply under reservation benefits according to SSC rules. Candidates already employed in Group ‘C’ or Group ‘D’ posts through the ESM quota may not claim the same benefit again unless they meet the prescribed conditions.

SSC MTS 2026 Exam Pattern

The examination will be conducted online in two compulsory sessions.
