RRB Group D 2026 Notification

The Railway Recruitment Board has officially announced the RRB Group D Recruitment 2026 under advertisement number CEN 09/2025. Through this recruitment drive, Indian Railways aims to fill more than 22,000 vacancies in various Level-1 departments.

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality 

The applicant must be: 

  • A citizen of India, OR 
  • A citizen of Nepal/Bhutan, OR 
  • A Tibetan refugee settled in India before January 1, 1962, OR 
  • A person of Indian origin migrated from specified countries. 

Educational Qualification 

To apply for RRB Group D 2026, candidates must have: 

  • Passed Class 10th, OR 
  • ITI certificate from a recognized institute, OR 
  • National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by NCVT. 

Some technical posts may also accept engineering diploma qualifications. 

Important Note: Candidates waiting for final results are generally not eligible.

Age Limit

The age will be calculated according to the date mentioned in the official notification.

Application Fee

Refund Policy 

  • General category candidates receive a partial refund after appearing in CBT. 
  • Reserved category candidates receive a full refund after attending CBT.

Selection Process

The recruitment process includes four stages: 

 Computer-Based Test (CBT) 

This is the first stage consisting of objective-type questions. 

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) 

Candidates who qualify CBT must appear for PET. 

Document Verification 

Original documents are verified. 

Medical Examination 

Candidates are tested according to railway medical standards.

RRB Group D 2026 Exam Pattern 

Key Highlights 

  • Duration: 90 Minutes 
  • Negative Marking: 1/3 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. 

Important Note: Time management is extremely important because the exam contains many questions. 

PET (Physical Efficiency Test) Criteria 

Male Candidates 
  • Carry 35 kg weight for 100 meters in 2 minutes 
  • Run 1000 meters in 4 minutes 15 seconds 
Female Candidates 
  • Carry 20 kg weight for 100 meters in 2 minutes 
  • Run 1000 meters in 5 minutes 40 seconds 

Important Note: PET is qualifying in nature but mandatory.
