IBPS Clerk 2026 Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates must satisfy the eligibility conditions prescribed by IBPS before applying. 

  • Nationality: Indian Citizen or as per IBPS norms 
  • Educational: Qualification Graduation from a recognized university 
  • Computer Knowledge: Basic computer knowledge is desirable 
  • Local Language: Knowledge of the local language of the applied state

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government of India. There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. There is no interview stage in the IBPS Clerk recruitment process.

Along with the basic pay, employees receive several allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Special Allowance, and Transport Allowance. The approximate gross monthly salary is around ₹40,700, while the in-hand salary generally ranges from ₹37,000 to ₹39,000, depending on the city of posting, applicable allowances, and deductions.
