Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for IBPS Clerk 2025, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Nationality:
    • Citizen of India, or
    • Subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
    • Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, intending to settle permanently, or
    • Person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries, intending to settle permanently in India.
  • Age Limit:
    • Minimum: 20 years
    • Maximum: 28 years
    • Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.
  • Educational Qualification:
    • A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.

Selection Process :

The selection process for IBPS Clerk 2025 comprises two stages:

  1. Preliminary Examination: An online objective test assessing English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability.
  2. Main Examination: An online test including sections on Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General/Financial Awareness, English Language, and Quantitative Aptitude.

Final selection is based on the candidate’s performance in the Main Examination.

Syllabus :

The syllabus for IBPS Clerk 2025 is divided between the Preliminary and Main Examinations:

  • Preliminary Examination:
    • English Language: Reading Comprehension, Cloze Test, Error Detection, Sentence Improvement, Para Jumbles.
    • Numerical Ability: Number Series, Simplification/Approximation, Data Interpretation, Quadratic Equations, Arithmetic Problems (Profit & Loss, Time & Work, Mixtures & Allegations, etc.).
    • Reasoning Ability: Puzzles, Seating Arrangement, Inequalities, Syllogism, Coding-Decoding, Blood Relations, Direction Sense.
  • Main Examination:
    • Reasoning & Computer Aptitude: Advanced puzzles, Logical Reasoning, Data Sufficiency, Computer Fundamentals.
    • General/Financial Awareness: Current Affairs, Banking Terms, Economic News, Static GK.
    • English Language: Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary, Grammar.
    • Quantitative Aptitude: Data Interpretation, Data Sufficiency, Arithmetic Problems.

  • Preliminary Examination:
    • Duration: 1 hour
    • Total Questions: 100
    • Sections:
      • English Language: 30 questions
      • Numerical Ability: 35 questions
      • Reasoning Ability: 35 questions
  • Main Examination:
    • Duration: 2 hours 40 minutes
    • Total Questions: 190
    • Sections:
      • Reasoning & Computer Aptitude: 50 questions
      • General/Financial Awareness: 50 questions
      • English Language: 40 questions
      • Quantitative Aptitude: 50 questions

Vacancy :

The exact number of vacancies for IBPS Clerk 2025 will be specified in the official notification. In the previous cycle, there were approximately 4,000 vacancies.

Cut-off :

The cut-off marks for IBPS Clerk 2025 will be released after each stage of the examination. These are the minimum scores required to qualify for the next stage. Cut-off marks vary based on factors like the number of vacancies, the difficulty level of the exam, and candidate performance.

Salary :

The initial salary for an IBPS Clerk is approximately ₹28,000 to ₹30,000 per month, including allowances. The pay scale ranges from ₹24,050 to ₹64,480, with the starting Basic Pay at ₹26,730 (₹24,050 plus two advance increments admissible to graduates).
