SBI Clerk Selection Process

The selection process consists of two stages:

  1. Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
  2. Main Examination (Objective Type)

Unlike other banking exams, there is no interview round for the SBI Clerk exam. Final selection is based on the Main Exam score.

SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 20 years
  • Maximum Age: 28 years
  • Age Relaxation:
    • SC/ST: 5 years
    • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
    • PwD: 10-15 years (depending on category)
    • Ex-Servicemen: As per government norms

Educational Qualification

  • A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Final-year students can apply, provided they produce proof of passing before the final selection.
  • Proficiency in the local language of the applying state is mandatory.
  • Basic computer knowledge is required.
