IBPS PO 2025 Selection Process
The selection process for IBPS PO 2025 comprises three stages:
- Preliminary Examination: An online objective test assessing English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability.
- Main Examination: An online test including objective sections on Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, English Language, Data Analysis & Interpretation, and a descriptive section involving English Language (Letter Writing & Essay).
- Interview: Candidates who qualify in the Main Examination are called for a face-to-face interview conducted by participating banks.
Final selection is based on combined performance in the Main Examination and Interview.

IBPS PO 2026 Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for IBPS PO 2025, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Nationality:
- Citizen of India, or
- Subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
- Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, intending to settle permanently, or
- Person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries, intending to settle permanently in India.
- Age Limit:
- Minimum: 20 years
- Maximum: 30 years
- Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.
- Educational Qualification:
- A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.

The syllabus for IBPS PO 2025 is divided between the Preliminary and Main Examinations:

- English Language: Reading Comprehension, Cloze Test, Error Detection, Sentence Improvement, Para Jumbles.
