IIM Indore MBA/PGP 

The Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) is IIM Indore’s two-year full-time management programme and leads to an MBA degree. 

The programme is designed for students from different academic backgrounds. Work experience is not a compulsory requirement for the regular PGP, although work experience can contribute to the admission shortlisting score.

For the 2026–28 PGP admission cycle, candidates needed a bachelor’s degree with: 

• 50% marks or equivalent CGPA for General, EWS and NC-OBC candidates.

For Indian students admitted through CAT, the PGP course fee is ₹12 lakh per academic year. 

The official 2026–28 fee structure also lists a refundable caution deposit and mess deposit in the first year, along with the alumni fee in the second year.  

This gives a scheduled two-year payment of approximately ₹25.16 lakh. 

However, it is important to distinguish between course fee and total scheduled payment. The course fee itself is ₹24 lakh for two years. The additional amount comes from the caution deposit, mess deposit and alumni fee. The caution deposit is refundable subject to the institute’s applicable conditions, while the mess deposit is adjusted against actual mess bills. Textbooks are not included in the course fee.

The PGP admission process can broadly be understood in three stages. 

Stage 1: CAT and Eligibility 

Candidates must satisfy the academic eligibility requirements and the minimum CAT sectional and overall percentile requirements. 

For the 2026–28 cycle, IIM Indore required candidates to appear for CAT 2025 and apply for IIM Indore’s PGP through the CAT registration process.  

Stage 2: Personal Interview Shortlisting

IIM Indore’s latest final placement report covers the 2024–26 batch. 

The placement process involved 586 candidates, including 492 MBA candidates and 94 dual-degree candidates. More than 240 recruiters participated, with more than 70 new recruiting partners joining the placement process. 

IIM Indore Average, Median and Highest Salary 2026 

The figures are reported as CTC/package figures by the institute. The highest package should not be interpreted as the salary received by a typical IIM Indore graduate. The median CTC of ₹25 lakh is often more useful when trying to understand the compensation level around the middle of the placement pool.

Consulting and finance were the two largest recruitment areas in the 2024–26 final placement process. 

The institute reported recruiters from consulting, banking and financial services, FMCG, technology, analytics, operations and other sectors.

IIM Indore Placement Trend 

Recent placement results have varied from year to year, so it is better to look at the broader trend rather than focus only on the highest package. 

IIM Indore’s official placement archive provides reports for multiple years, including 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026. 

A year-to-year change in average CTC does not necessarily mean that the programme has become better or worse. Placement outcomes can move with the hiring environment, role mix, industry demand and the composition of the graduating batch. 

IIM Indore PGP-HRM 

The Post Graduate Programme in Human Resource Management (PGP-HRM) is a two-year, full-time residential programme leading to an MBA degree. 

It is aimed at students who want to build careers in human resources, organisational behaviour and related management functions.  

PGP-HRM Eligibility 

For the 2026–28 batch, the broad academic requirement was: 

• 50% bachelor’s degree marks for General, EWS and NC-OBC candidates. 

• 45% for SC, ST and PwD candidates. 

• Final-year bachelor’s degree candidates could apply subject to the prescribed conditions.

IIM Indore IPM 

The Five-Year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) is one of IIM Indore’s distinctive programmes. It provides students entering after Class 12 with an integrated management education pathway. 

The programme is particularly relevant for students who already know that they want to pursue management education without first completing a conventional bachelor’s degree. 

Admission is through IIM Indore’s IPM admission process rather than the regular CAT-based PGP route. The institute describes an entrance examination testing areas including aptitude, logical reasoning, English and Mathematics.  

IIM Indore IPM Fees 2026–31 

For domestic participants in the 2026–31 batch, the course fee for each of the first three academic years is ₹6 lakh per year. 

The official fee document states that the course fee for the fourth and fifth years is equal to the applicable PGP fee for those years.

IIM Indore Executive and Doctoral Programmes 

Apart from its regular MBA and IPM programmes, IIM Indore offers options for experienced professionals and research-oriented students. 

Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) 

The EPGP is a one-year, full-time residential MBA programme designed for experienced professionals. The admission requirements include an accepted GMAT, GRE or CAT score and the prescribed professional experience requirement. For the current admission information, IIM Indore specifies a minimum of five years of managerial, entrepreneurial or professional experience after graduation.  

The currently published fee structure for Indian nationals lists a total fee of ₹26,76,800, including the programme fee, refundable caution deposit, alumni membership fee and commitment fee.  

Doctoral Programme in Management 

The Doctoral Programme in Management (DPM) is intended for students interested in advanced management research and academic careers. Eligibility requirements are different from MBA programmes and include specific postgraduate or professional qualifications.  

IIM Indore also offers EDPM and EDPMG for executive doctoral study, as well as PGPMX for working executives.

Is IIM Indore Worth It in 2026?

The placement numbers are certainly attractive. The 2024–26 batch recorded an average CTC of ₹27.27 lakh and a median CTC of ₹25 lakh, while the highest reported CTC was ₹82.54 lakh. Consulting alone accounted for 41% of offers, followed by finance at 20%. 

But salary figures should not be the only reason to choose a business school. 

Students should also consider the total cost of the programme, their expected career path, the kind of roles they want, the importance of work experience for those roles, campus environment, alumni network and the opportunity cost of an MBA. 

The same logic applies to admissions. A CAT score above the published minimum is important, but IIM Indore’s selection methodology also gives substantial weight to academics, CAT sectional performance, diversity, work experience and the Personal Interview.
